You can warm the coconut water if you want but add the starter AFTER it is room temp, not during heating. Lorna, that sounds like a lot of work! If you are using fresh, I can understand doing that...

I don’t use a mother batch. I always leave maybe 1/4 cup and then transfer this to new water. I get 4-8 transfers. It just depends on the weather I think. Shannon
